Feature films on 8mm fall into two categories, full length features and abridged features. Full length are usually the full cinema version from the Country where the distributor is based. An abridged version can be from any distributor. Early Super 8mm releases were abridged to about 72 minutes these were called 8 reelers and came supplied on 4 x 400' reels (120m). (Anything less than the 8 reelers are not reviewed in this section).

Features on other gauges were usually complete.
