It is the story of Phileas Fogg (David Niven), an English gentleman who has accepted a wager to encircle the globe within 80 days. accompanied by his valet Passepartout (Cantinflas), and pursued by a persistent Police inspector (Robert Newton) on the wrong trail, Fogg makes his journey by means of balloon, paddle steamer, junk, and elephant, encountering incredible adventures on the way.
Adding to the excitement of the film is the appearance of many world famous stars in cameo roles, including Marlene Dietrich, Frank Sinatra, John Gielgud and Noel Coward.
This adventure comedy provides superb entertainment for all ages, and is a film not to be missed.
