When the crew of a Boeing 707 are struck down with food poisoning
a cowardly ex-Vietnam Pilot (who just happens to be one of the many
stereotype characters on board), with the help of some lunatic
ground crew manages to land the plane just in the nick of time.
When I saw the six reel version of this film I found it quite entertaining but a bit unbalanced and some of the 'gags' seemed a bit odd. Having now seen the full version for the very. first time I found it much more entertaining, with the correct pacing of the jokes, and I did like the opening Jaws gag, what idiot cut that off the six reeler.
The shorter editions are fine if you have seen the feature if not, and you can afford it, then this has got to be the one to buy and I know of several owners of the 6 reeler who have sold it and bought the complete feature they think it's the best film out on super 8 for years, it certainly was the big hit in the cinemas 1980/81 and it looks like being very popular with S/8 collectors.
The print quality is very good, and so is the sound.
There is a bit of wear on the master near some of the reel changes, but nothing to get excited about, and unlike the two and the six reel versions which are printed in Germany, these complete features are produced in America.
Very highly recommended. quotes
